Game Description

Dungeons & Dragons 5e - ill tidings. (Forgotten realms)

You are part of a group of mercenaries known as the Antaran Knights based in the city of Cambridge on the Sword coast.

Cambridge is a port city that is often used as a stopover before many proceed north to Baldurs gate and beyond. Many different groups call the city home and a fragile peace exists between the criminal element, the ruling lordship of the Kilsch family and the city guard.

Fall is descending upon the region, the days grow shorter,crops are about to be harvested and the chill of winter approaches.
One night after the city's fall festival, a strange light streaks across the city's skies. A bright green object crashes into the seas off the city's shores.

In the days and weeks following that night, things have changed and becoming more dangerous in the region. Many different monsters have been found torn apart, people have gone missing and fear is spreading.
Trade is becoming disrrupted as many merchants, traders are avoiding the area entirely.

Lord Kilsh realizes that he needs to reestablish order in the city. A contract has been extended to the local chapter of the Antaran Knights. The Knights commander, a Tabaxi known as Brightscarf has tasked a small unit to investigate what is happening in the city and help bring order back to the city.

Kilsh's court mages and scholars from Candlekeep believe that there is a connection to the fallen star that fell into the sea and what is happening now.

Your mission is simple.

1) Investigate the cause of the disturbance in the region
2) Assess the threat and determine how best to deal with it
3) Use best judgement and bring order and peace by whatever means deemed neccessary
4) Survive and bring glory to the Antaran Knights
