Game Description

To get into the proper minset, please listen to this while reading about this game: S.W.A.T.

The seaside city-state of Dunfermeline is a metropolitan hub for industry, culture, technology, and magical research. This has made Dunfermeline one of the most prosperous cities in the world. But it also means something else.

Adventurers.

This wandering pack of orphaned murder hobos are Dunfermeline’’s greatest strength and the source of its more severe liabilities. Adventurers bring in an inordinate amount of gold to the city’s hospitality sector and small business owners. But they don’t always clean up the messes they leave behind. Sometimes adventurers will draw the ire of evil sorcerers, or viscous cults, or rival adventuring parties, and Dunfermeline gets caught in the crossfire. Sometimes the adventurers won’t even take care of the problem and just move on to a new city. Sometimes, Adventurers lose, and Dunfermeline is left in the grips of whatever evil they failed to stop.

That’s why the DPD created S.W.A.T., elite teams of warriors possessing the skills, training, and temperament to clean up after Adventurers. These are the individuals that get the call when Adventurers screw the pooch and leave town.

It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it.

This game will be played with a slightly modified version of Pathfinder. All changes are for the benefit of the scenario and will be explained on the day.
This game will focus primarily on Pathfinder’s tactical gameplay, so a working knowledge of the Pathfinder combat system is highly recommended. Think of it like a cross between X-Com and Baldur’s Gate.
Characters will be pregenerated and provided on the day.
