History
A small snippet of Gryphcon's over 25-year History from Rob C:
Gryphcon in the 80's and 90's included a pair of epic, multi-round AD&D adventures known as the Team Tournament and Individual Tournament. These were written and run by Games Club members and would start with 6-8 slots over Saturday (so nearly 50 players would enter) and based on points and voting, about half of these players would advance to Sunday's second and/or third rounds. Two teams would move to the finale in round 2, but there were second and third installments for the individual adventure. These were the centerpieces of Gryphcon for over 10 years with many attendees participating and the rest of the games filling in around them.
Today Gryphcon has a wide variety of events such as: Warhammer, D&D and other role playing games, various board games, Video games and many others. We are always expanding in new ways to play games such as a Nerf gun fight.
