Welcome to the 'Nam, soldier! In this introductory mission in Savage Worlds' TOUR OF DARKNESS setting, you and your squad will go deep into Charlie's jungle and fending off VC, their booby traps, poisonous snakes, skeeters the size of your arm, and who knows what else in the godforsaken bush -- and winning hearts and minds over the villagers. You get to hump your pack in 110-degree heat, too. Ruck up, grunt. Move like you've got a purpose.
You'll see first hand how Savage Worlds can be used both as a roleplaying game and a tactical wargame for squad- and platoon-level skirmish combat -- while at the same time delivering on the promise of being Fast, Furious, and Fun! It can be adapted to virtually any setting: modern combat, historical, fantasy, horror, pulp, superheroes, space opera, and all manner of weirdness. In my experience, it's also one of the easiest game systems to learn and to pick up. Main rulebook is cheap, too. |
