Game Description

The remote town of Veilpeak was tasked with a timeless duty long long ago – the monks of the temple were bound to guard and maintain the seal on an ancient tomb.

For generations they did so with boundless dedication – however all things fade in time. How important was it truly to guard this circle in an old dusty tomb? "Surely it's preposterous to have people dedicating their whole lives to some old fable. Surely it's preposterous to dedicate even a fraction of the city's tax income to fund some self important monks!"

Only a small selection of the words spouted by men of power in our fair town – and the result? In recent decades the guardianship of the monks has become a poor, thin shadow of what it used to be. A few would-be keepers with not the tools to do their job, nor the training to do so anyhow.

It goes without saying that the seal was as crucial as the monks wanted people to believe. For it has broken, and Veilpeak is paying the price.

The Mayor has sent a request to the Adventurer's Guild to dispatch a party to venture inside the tomb, defeat whatever lies within, and most importantly: repair the seal.

Player characters will be level 6. Feel free to make your own – I'll have a few pre-gens with me for those who cannot!
