Game Description

One Shot Studios is making a move that is going to be a classic. The plot is a space opera with a roguish hero, a space princess, strange aliens and a dastardly villian with a cape and strange powers... And no, it's nothing like that other movie!
We've gathered a wide assortment of actors (that we could afford) and built a number of sets and set pieces in a warehouse in Indonesia (where health and safety labour laws are suitably lax). We have five days of filming with all the actors present and need to get as much improvised action in the one take as possible. The rest will be done in reshoots and post production editting.
Will we make a Super-Hit that will launch the cast careers? Will it be a low-budget classic? Or will it be a straight to download example of how not to make a movie?


One Shot Studios is a home brew game that plays like a minis game (like D&D) but with a simplified dice/powers mechanic about stealing the scene. "Damage" isn't actual harm, but is "looking bad" in front of the camera and getting edited out of the scene. Getting "Knocked-out" isn't falling unconscious, it's getting editted out of the scene to the point where the script needs to be rewritten to explain why you weren't in the scene...
