Game Description

Doctor Zen died earlier this week and Toronto’s premier superhero outfit, THE ORDER, has been arrested as being complicit in the death of their friend, patron, and mentor. You have been summoned by the Law Office of John AAA Nix, Solicitor and Barrister for Doctor Zen to be part of the Last Will and Testament of Doctor Zen. This is extremely unusual, but the process server was very particular about your showing up.

The Action Begins on Friday, March 2nd, 2019 at the Law Office of John AAA Nix on the twenty-second floor of the Zen-Hilton Building, former HQ of ZEN INTERNATIONAL. Your arrival stirs the reporters assembled outside the building and you enter with great fanfare and a massive barrage of questions.

What does Doctor Zen want with you??

Master of Mayhem

allfatherstoco Arbiter of Crimes and Chaos

Flame Eternal

Christian Friday Permanent Flame On. (Gender is no longer important to you)

Lifeline

Daniel Gasior The Mayor of Mississauga approached you: the city had enough freaks and not enough heroes. LIFELINE was born. You’ve been publicly rescuing folk for the last five years. Your background as a firefighter makes more people trust you than vigilante-type heroes. (Male)

Minuet

John Patterson You are an alien. Seriously. You come from a planet far, far, far away from Earth. Your scout ship crashed here about five years ago during a massive misjump that you suspect was caused by sabotage. (you landed smack dab in the middle of Lake Ontario). Imagine your surprise at finding a planet much like your own, with people much like your own. Except for one thing. The lack of mentalists on this planet is incredible to you. So many unshielded minds. The neat thing about being you is that you don’t really need a J-O-B. Getting anything you want is easy and accomplished with a single thought. People are happy to help you. However, that goes against everything you stand for in your homeworld. (Female)

Missile Man

Wes M. You can throw. Anything. You believe in the goodness of the average person. You protect the innocent as your primary purpose. Your family consists of two younger twin sisters, living parents (your mother harps about you taking a permanent position with the school board, your dad laments your refusal to play ball professionally), dying grandparents (Alzheimer’s and Dementia). Your life consists of revolving commitments to maintain your status with your family and your secret identity as a supply teacher with the Halton District School Board. You are twenty-six years-old. No one knows that you are Missile Man. (Male)

Powerhouse

Anise So you were Powerlifting in the UK. You had done very well in the competition, if GOLD is any indicator. You represented Team Canada well and you were a POWERHOUSE during the competition. Afterward, a fan of museums, you checked out the Fertile Crescent exhibit at the British Museum. You were there in the evening enjoying the exhibit. The electrical storm was massive and the lighting system shorted out in the entire museum. Which set-off innumerable alarms and much worse. You were caught in the friction of the event and the vision came to you full force… Ishtar, the Goddess of Magic, Warfare, and Civilization reached out and touched your mortal soul, invoking an age-old bloodline within you. They found you unconscious on the floor. (Female)

The Quickness

Paul Scapinello Set-the-scene: You were a student of the Classics. You were also a track star and a member of the Guelph Gryphon Track and Field Team. You were an Olympic-level athlete. You competed in the club circuit out of Vaughn Mills all through high-school. You were a star. And then a drunk driver hit you with a car. Crippled, you did the only thing an imbalanced, drunk-ass student of the Classics does: You appealed to the Gods. It was in your nightmares and dreams that they answered you. Twisted by a thirst to be whole, by a thirst for revenge, you ended-up on a pilgrimage to Delphi with a wineskin and a Lonely Planet guide. You broke in and had a little party in the ancient stadium. Drunk ass and wild, MERCURY himself struck you with a pitying boon. (Male)

The York Cougar

Nick S. A graduate of the University of Toronto, you have a solid background in art and antiquities and their value on the private markets. You were immoral for a decade: you helped steal and sell a large number of priceless artifacts on the private markets. Which brings us to the British Museum last September. Casing a priceless Egyptian artifact, you were there in the evening enjoying the exhibit. The electrical storm was massive and the lighting system shorted out in the entire museum. Which set-off innumerable alarms and much worse. You were caught in the friction of the event and the vision came to you full force… BASTET, the Egyptian Goddess of Warfare reached out and touched your mortal soul, invoking an age-old bloodline within you. They found you unconscious on the floor. (Female)

The White Crane

Andri You are a trust fund kiddo. Sent to Asia for the last decade since your mother died to study the Martial Arts and learn from some of the greatest masters in the world. Your tutor, Mr. Jarvis, escorted you throughout these tumultuous young years. You see your father was a secret agent of THE RANKS OF THE ANCIENT DRAGONS. He fought to counter the growing influence of a mighty crime syndicate known simply as THE BLACK LOTUS triad. The Black Lotus rules much of Asia’s crime problems and has been making in-roads throughout North America. (Male)
