Game Description

Header

Dungeon Moogle? Get it? DM. Hah. I’m so clever, kupo.

Anyway; my actual name is Sebastian for future reference. I wanted to try running some 5th edition games for this year’s Gryphcon. I’ll have information for character creation in the ‘Footer’ section – this header and that footer will be copy/pasted into each of the three games I’m running so if you end up reading all three then you don’t need to reread those sections.

It’s perfectly okay to join one of the games and not the others; they’re all self-contained little stories. Essentially I’d describe the setting for these games as feudal era Japan with magic and the D&D races. Your characters are members of a large clan renowned for its mercenary work; however the clan follows a code of honor and only takes righteous contracts. You can still play the same character across each of the three missions if you choose to join them all since that would just mean your character happened to be available at each of the different times those missions came up.

Intro

Moments ago an exhausted pirate stumbled his way into the clan’s monastery with word of an impending attack on a Trade Union outpost. He says the pirate fleet known as “The Crimson Tide” had attempted to extort the Trade Union for protection fees; and the Trade Union refused - believing they could reinforce their defenses in time - however; a particularly brutal captain in the fleet has immediately amassed a group of ships to make example of one of the Trade Union’s outposts. The attack is to be carried out following the captain’s orders of ‘Kill all who resist, put the weak in chains.’

Normally the clan doesn’t accept immediate requests; however an exception has been made for this case as many innocent lives will be lost if action is not taken. Your characters are the ones brave enough or unfortunate enough to have been available at the time to accept this mission.

Footer

If you want to make your own character then make a character at level 5. I will have pre-generated characters available for those who don’t want to/don’t know how to/don’t have the books to make their character on their own. Also; if you want to create your own character I’ll probably try to be at the room for my games a bit early. Alternately I’ll have the books on me the rest of the weekend too if you want to arrange getting together in the PCH to make your character.
