Game Description

This particular session is set during the late 3rd century AD, during the reign of the Tetriarchy of Diocletian, Maximian, Galarius and Constantinus. Your cohort is dispatched to man the garrison at Dura-Europos, on the Euphrates River in what is now Syria today. To welcome you, the dux ripae (the commander of the garrison) Quintus Domitius Pompeianus, is throwing a formal dinner along with the commander's friend and colleague Herodes. Garrison duty doesn't afford much opportunity for glory, and it's not terribly exciting neither, but rumour has it the princess Zenobia has been kidnapped; she's the promised bride to Odenathus, the exarchos of Palmrya, an ally of Rome and Herodes' father.

Gaining the Judge's Spotlight ENnie award at GenCon 2014, Pinnacle Entertainment Games Inc's Weird Wars Rome is best described as a military/horror setting, where the Legions push back the darkness at the edges of Rome's empire. Grab your swords and sandals, as pregenerated characters will be available to pick from. Knowledge of Savage Worlds is not essential, as the game is designed to be Fast! Furious! Fun!
