Game Description

As a member of the White Council, you are a powerful wizard; a master of magics and eldritch secrets. You exchange arcane knowledge with your peers and protect the masses of mankind from abuses of magic and that which goes bump in the night.

Or at least, that would be the case if you were a member. For the moment, you're just an apprentice, with the noble purpose of doing busy work for your mentor and keeping your own nose clean.

Now you, and several other apprentices, find themselves all together in a place that might as well be magic kindergarten being asked to twiddle your thumbs while your respective mentors do work that actual matters. There's certainly no way that a bunch of annoyed and bored magic-powered teenagers put together in close quarters could get up to any sort of trouble or mischief...

This game is set in the universe of The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. It is a world of urban fantasy, mystery and action. The System is FATE, a simple, rules light system which encourages roleplaying and creativity. Making rolls is simple and quick, and players can use FATE points to influence the flow of the game. FATE is extremely easy to learn, and pregenerated characters will be provided. Join the FATE revolution!

This game will be set after the novel Changes, and may include spoilers of the story up to that point.

Description and subject to change as the visions of madness haunt me, I mean, as I get more ideas. I may change the slot depending on certain other events being run at this or that time.

Spoilers and Settings knowledge

You mentioned potential spoiler warnings, but do you know how much so? Also how much game settings knowledge will be expected, is the game friendly to people who have little/no idea about the Dresden setting?

Well, your characters are apprentices, so a certain lack of setting knowledge is to be expected! In general, it's a fairly standard urban fantasy, anything immediately relevant to the plot (such as principles of magic) can be quickly explained.

I can probably steer away from the spoilers, since they're not actually plot relevant. It's just a particular event that happens at the end of Changes which has some effects on the world.

SLOT CHANGE IMPENDING!!

All you guys! I am super happy that you're interested in this game.
Unfortunately, now that I know when the MtG tournies are, I'd kinda like to be in on that, so I will be switching slots.

Main options are Slots 1 and 5 (and maybe 4). Reply to this to get your opinion in here. I'll list the slots as restricted to the folks currently in the slots. The Slot change will switch over sometime Friday (8th) night.

Since its already full, is there any chance you would be willing to run it again at a different slot? Or any Dresden Files RPG? I've always wanted to play.
