Game Description

THIS TOURNAMENT STARTS AT 12:00 PM - UPDATED INFORMATION ON 18-FEB-2013
Learn To Play X-Wing! will be run prior to the start time.

This will be a 100-point Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures Game tournament using the official tournament rules per the linked document below:

http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/x-wing/support/X-Wing_TournamentRules_V1.1.pdf

Players must bring their own miniatures, dice, templates, tokens, damage deck, and anything else needed to play. We will play three 90-minute rounds of Swiss pairings. Players must have their rosters written out ahead of time showing point costs. Please bring at least three copies (one for the TO, one for your opponent, and one for yourself). You may submit these ahead of time by e-mail to chris@engler.ca.

WAVE 2 SHIPS ARE ALLOWED IN THIS TOURNAMENT. It's uncertain as to whether Wave 2 ships (i.e. Millennium Falcon, A-Wing, Slave I, and TIE Interceptor) will be generally available before then but if you are fortunate enough to have won some at Kessel Run events you may bring them and field them. People complaining about this will be forced to play "Seven Minutes in Heaven" with Sy Snootles (pre-Special Edition).

I have a Game Night kit from Fantasy Flight Games with the following items which I will give away as prizes:

- 2 laser-cut plastic range rulers (one red for Rebels, one green for Imperials).
- 8 over-sized pilot cards with Darth Vader on one side and Luke Skywalker on the other.

If the split between those playing Rebels and Imperials is more-or-less even I'll award the red range ruler to the best Rebel player and the green range ruler to the best Imperial player. If the split isn't even they will be first and second prize with the first place player getting first pick.

The over-sized pilot cards will be given out at participation prizes. If we're fortunate enough to have more than eight players they will be given out in descending order of final standing but I will, at my discretion, give priority to younger players (i.e. children) receiving a participation prize regardless of where they finish.
