The Direwolves

Eclipse Phase: Murder of Crows

You wake up on a slab.

This isn't where you last went to sleep; nor is it the body you last went to sleep in. A clock on the wall indicates it's 09:42, Earth time, 25:12 local. More importantly, it tells you you've lost a week of your life.

A lab technician enters and begins to explain; you have been restored from a backup made prior to you and your team being deployed on assignment. The assignment appears to have failed, because apparently you died, as did your team; that is, the you that was in that body, you're a new version of you. (Or are you?) If someone was willing to kill to stop your assignment, that means that whatever is there is important; and so it's back into the breach, to find the cause of your own murder.

Eclipse phase is a post-apocalyptic science fiction game of horror and conspiracy. It takes Transhumanism as one of it's major themes, with the sentient mind being able to be copied, backed-up, reproduced and altered like any other type of data. Players will be taking on the roles of Firewall agents, mercenaries and dreamers tasked with protecting Transhumanity from the many dangers present in the solar system and beyond, not least of which is itself.

Familiarity with the system and setting is not required, but if you are interested, more details can be found on the publisher's website, here. If you would like more detail or have any questions, email me at rstaught-at-uoguelph-dot-ca with 'gryphcon' leading the subject line. Pregenerated characters will be provided.
